Process Operator

As a process operator at Teijin Aramid, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the production of ultra-strong and lightweight fibers used in products such as bulletproof vests and helmets. In this role, you will work as part of a team but also have the chance to perform tasks independently. 

• From the control room, you will operate, monitor, and adjust automated process control systems. Corrective actions will be taken when necessary. 
• Ensure the optimal condition of technical installations. Draft assignments for the Technical Department (TD), and also supervise, guide, and support the TD and contractors. 
• Intervene in emergencies, conduct inspection rounds as part of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), and report deviations.

Role and department

In Emmen, we have the world's largest aramid factory, where approximately 700 colleagues work. The polymer produced in our Delfzijl factory is spun into Twaron yarn through an advanced process. A portion of the production yield is sent to our post-processing plant, where we tailor the product to the customer's needs. This is done in various ways, such as processing it into pulp, twisting it, cutting it into short pieces, or applying a special coating. What is expected of you:

• Preparing reports.
• Participating in working groups related to process and technical improvements.
• Creating and implementing safety plans to ensure a safe working environment for all parties involved.
• Recording process data, filling out checklists, and contributing to the completion of work permits.
• Actively contributing to the Visual Performance Management consultation structures.

Your profile

You are proactive, enthusiastic, and have a high safety awareness. Additionally: 

• Completed Operator B or C training, or currently in training for this / you have a relevant completed technical education at MBO 4 level. 
• Available full-time and willing to work in a 5-shift system. 
• Experience in a similar role in the process industry is a plus.

Our offer

• A salary of up to €4126 gross per month based on a full-time contract (excluding holiday allowance of 8.33%). Classification is based on knowledge and experience. 
• Additionally, a shift allowance of 32.6%. 
• A green and development budget of €1500 gross each. 
• Full-time job in a five-shift system.
