Internship in Chemical Process Improvement
Innovation and sustainability, is the focus of the R&D projects at Teijin Aramid, market leader in high performance aramids. You contribute to our research and innovations as Intern. You work within the department Research Process Technology (RPT) of the Research and Innovation Centre (RIC) of Teijin Aramid in Arnhem.
In order to optimize our chemical processes in terms of safety and environment, we actively conduct research on these aspects. In this assignment you will search for a suitable treatment for the removal of residual organic compounds in a waste water stream. During the internship you will do a desk study, screening experiments in the lab and analyze and report the results.
Role and department
The Research Process Technology department focuses its research on technological improvements of the several plants we have that are producing our high-performance aramid materials. The work we do ranges from lab scale chemical experiments to pilot scale spinning of our yarn. Furthermore, the department provides support for the Sales & Marketing department through expertise on various topics.
Your profile
- You are a university student in the field of (organic) chemistry with lab experience?
- Being able to work independently and having affinity with the lab is preferred.
- Available for a minimum of 3 months, starting in September (negotiable).
