As environmental coordinator you play an important role within our company. You find challenge to know (new) legislation and regulations well and to translate this into practical solutions for our location in Delfziijl. You also support the other colleagues in the department in making reports and in projects. 

About the department and position
The QHSE department consists of 8 enthusiastic professionals, each specialized in his/her field. We have the ambition to raise the organization to a higher level and also to create more involvement regarding safety and laws & regulations. International and national legislation is becoming more and more complex, making it a department with many challenges. Our goal is and remains: To protect people, the environment and our surroundings and to leave the world a little better every day. 

As an environmental coordinator at Teijin Aramid in Delfzijl, you play a crucial role in the management, optimization and expansion of our production process. Among other things, you take care of annual reports to government agencies, optimize the environmental management system, conduct environmental rounds in the plant and also provide support to 2 environmental experts. You are aware of relevant environmental legislation and permits and assist the department with emission minimization duty and related projects. In addition, you keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of Best Available Techniques (BAT) and know how to apply your knowledge in a smart way within our organization. In addition, you initiate and supervise improvement processes within our department in the area of reporting requirements, KPIs and other assurance systems. You will work closely with the QHSE team to ensure that our company meets the highest standards in the areas of environmental care, environmental laws and regulations, waste and hazardous materials, CSR, and sustainability.

As Environmental Coordinator, you will also be the point of contact for environmental related issues within our organization.

Your profile

• MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, for example environmental science. 
• You have a keen eye for new developments and know how to effectively share and further develop your knowledge in the field of the environment, sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience. 
• Healthy ambition to grow within the department. 
• Knowledge of relevant local, national and international laws and regulations. 
• Strong communication skills to act as a link between TeijinAramid and (local) governments.
